In an odd sequence of events, the Orioles claimed outfielder Drew Stubbs on waivers from the Rangers to help their outfield defense. To clear a roster spot, they designated left-hander Kyle Lobstein, who they acquired from the Pirates in exchange for lefty Zach Phillips earlier in the day.
