Marlins outfielder Christian Yelich nearly had a doubleheader for the ages. The 23-year-old finished Saturday one hit shy of matching a Major League record for most hits in the same day — nine, shared by nine players, the last being Lee Thomas of the Los Angeles Angels in 1961.
