Michael Wacha was working on a two-hit shutout when Matt Adams’ line drive into the Cardinals’ dugout struck the right-hander in the right elbow in the bottom of the sixth inning, prompting manager Mike Matheny to end his night. He’s day to day with a contusion and expects to know more on Thursday.
