As Eric O’Flaherty’s left arm occasionally bothered him over the past few weeks, he was hopeful he could battle through it, like he had during last season’s final month. But O’Flaherty’s greatest fear was realized Saturday, when an MRI exam revealed a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his left elbow.
