Brantley lands on DL with shoulder inflammation

Michael Brantley knows he is too valuable to the Indians to push through any lingering issues with his surgically-repaired right shoulder and risk a setback. The left fielder alerted the team that he was not bouncing back well after games. Prior to their game against the Twins on Saturday, the Indians placed Brantley on the 15-day disabled list due to inflammation in his shoulder, which was operated on in November.

Bregman feels ‘very comfortable’ playing third

Top Astros prospect Alex Bregman said Saturday he felt “very comfortable” after playing his first game at third base as a professional in the first game of a doubleheader Friday for Double-A Corpus Christi. Bregman was selected No. 2 overall in last year’s Draft out of LSU as a shortstop and played short until getting the start at third on Friday.
