David Robertson has established a nice home for his family in a Chicago neighborhood 20 minutes away from U.S. Cellular Field. If the White Sox closer had a preference, they would stay in that home the rest of the 2016 season and for the remainder of his four-year, $46 million deal agreed upon with the team prior to the 2015 season. But as the veteran hurler well knows, he doesn’t have a say.

Moore extends impressive stretch amid trade talk
Matt Moore slowly walked off the mound on a hot, humid Southern California day, with the sun bearing down. Aside from the spattering of Rays fans at Dodger Stadium cheering, it was largely unceremonious. With trade rumors swirling around the Rays, and particularly Moore, Wednesday afternoon’s start, a 3-1 Rays win, quite possibly could have been the lefty’s last for the team that drafted him more than nine years ago.

Ziegler, who had yet to allow a run in six appearances for the Red Sox entering Wednesday, surrendered a go-ahead homer to Tigers first baseman Miguel Cabrera in the top of the ninth inning at Fenway Park that gave Detroit a 4-3 win and a three-game series sweep.
