Beltran exits with left quad contusion
Rangers outfielder Carlos Beltran exited Saturday’s 3-2 win against the Astros with a left quad contusion. He left the game after trying to score from first on a double by Rougned Odor to end the seventh. Earlier in the inning, Beltran hit an RBI single to give the Rangers a 2-1 lead.
Zimmerman placed on DL; Nats call up Goodwin
Nationals first baseman Ryan Zimmerman was placed on the 15-day disabled list Saturday, retroactive to Monday, for the second time this season, this time because of a left wrist contusion. The team also recalled outfielder Brian Goodwin from Triple-A Syracuse.

Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper left Saturday’s 7-1 loss to the Giants in the top of the seventh inning because of a stiff neck. It is not known if he will play in Sunday’s finale against San Francisco.
