Twins fan favorite Hunter announces retirement

Torii Hunter, the 20th overall pick in the 1993 Draft, has retired from Major League Baseball, the outfielder told The Star Tribune on Monday. The 40-year-old Hunter, who played 12 of his 19 seasons with the Twins, batted .277 with a .331 on-base percentage and a .461 slugging percentage in 2,372 career games.
