The Rangers are calling up top prospect Joey Gallo to fill in for injured third baseman Adrian Beltre. Before Tuesday’s game against the White Sox, the Rangers will purchase Gallo’s contract from Double-A Frisco and place him on the active roster. Beltre, out with a sprained left thumb, was placed on the 15-day disabled list Monday.
