The Nationals officially acquired shortstop Trea Turner from the San Diego Padres on Sunday. The announcement, made by Nats president of baseball operations and general manager Mike Rizzo, completes the three-team trade in which Washington received right-hander Joe Ross and a player to be named from the Padres on Dec. 18, 2014. The Nationals sent outfielder Steven Souza Jr. and Minor League left-hander Travis Ott to the Tampa Bay Rays as a part of the trade.
