It was fitting that Garrett Richards worked eight strong innings in an 8-4 win over the White Sox in Game 1 of Tuesday’s doubleheader. He’s been as big of a key as anyone for the Angels positioning themselves for a Wild Card spot, if not running down the powerful Athletics in the American League West.
