Major League Baseball announced Tuesday that Baltimore third baseman Manny Machado has been suspended for five games for throwing his bat during Sunday’s game. Machado, who was ejected from the 11-1 loss to Oakland, threw his bat toward third base on a swing after two consecutive brushback pitches.
