The Padres adjusted their front office on Sunday, dismissing Josh Byrnes from his post as general manager. Club president and CEO Mike Dee said in a statement that the Padres’ search for Byrnes’ replacement has already begun. On an interim basis, the “office of the general manager” will be comprised of senior vice president of baseball operations Omar Minaya and assistant GMs A.J. Hinch and Fred Uhlman Jr. until Byrnes’ successor is named.
