Heaney’s first start in line with Marlins predecessors

Andrew Heaney worked six innings of one-run ball in his first big league start Thursday night, allowing a home run to David Wright in the first frame that proved to be the difference in Miami’s 1-0 loss to New York. Still, the lefty become the sixth pitcher in Marlins history to throw six or more innings while allowing one or no runs in his MLB debut.
