The Padres placed right-hander Andrew Cashner on the 15-day disabled list on Saturday with soreness in his right elbow. Rookie Donn Roach will start in his place on Sunday vs. the Rockies and Kevin Quackenbush was called up from Triple-A El Paso to take his roster spot.
