Yusmeiro Petit retired the first 26 D-backs hitters he faced in Friday’s series opener at AT&T Park, but his perfecto went by the wayside on an Eric Chavez single to right that dropped just in front of Hunter Pence. Petit completed the one-hitter two pitches later for a 3-0 Giants victory.
