The Cubs erupted for three homers and eight runs off Nationals All-Star Jordan Zimmermann and cruised to an 11-1 win in the series opener Monday night at Wrigley Field. Nate Schierholtz drove in six runs and Jeff Samardzija tossed his third career complete game.
