The Royals obtained infielder Emilio Bonifacio from the Blue Jays on Wednesday in exchange for cash or a player to be named. To make room on the 40-man roster, the Royals placed infielder Miguel Tejada on the 60-day disabled list. A corresponding move to clear a spot on the 25-man active roster was pending.
