Johan Santana's surgically-repaired left shoulder that the Mets worked so hard to protect this season is all right, but a right ankle sprain forced New York to place the left-hander on the 15-day disabled list on Saturday. The Mets recalled right-hander Jeremy Hefner from Triple-A Buffalo to join the bullpen against the Dodgers.
