Depleted by injuries, the Padres are turning to to veteran right hander Kip Wells against the Astros on Tuesday. Wells hasn't pitched in the Majors since 2009 with the Reds. The Astros counter with Jordan Lyles, who pitched well, but was done in by poor run support in his last outing.
