Carlos Marmol is out as the Cubs' closer. One day after Marmol entered with a 3-0 lead against the Reds and walked three of the five batters he faced in an eventual Cubs loss, manager Dale Sveum informed the erratic right-hander he would no longer get the ball in the ninth inning.
