On Friday, Cleveland completed a trade with the Rockies, acquiring right-hander Kevin Slowey in exchange for Minor League reliever Zach Putnam. Slowey would presumably compete against Jeanmar Gomez and David Huff for a spot in the Tribe's rotation.
