Dodgers to address Puig incident ‘internally’

Dodgers president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman on Tuesday issued a statement in response to the latest incident involving outfielder Yasiel Puig. “We are aware of what Yasiel posted on social media last night, and while we are disappointed in his and some of our other players’ judgment, this is a matter we will address internally,” Friedman said in the statement.

Rangers tap Rockies with another late rally

This time, the Rangers weren’t quite as dramatic as they were the night before. This time, they pulled their come-from-behind act one inning early. Texas, trailing 5-2, scored four runs in the top of the eighth inning on its way to a 7-5 victory over the Rockies on Tuesday afternoon at Coors Field.

Xu itching to represent China in Majors

Gui Yuan “Itchy” Xu is just one of the guys playing rookie ball for the Orioles in Sarasota, Fla. Like the 34 others on the roster, he watches Orioles games at Camden Yards on television, dreaming of what it’d be like to take that field. But unlike his teammates, and unlike every other player in professional baseball, Xu is from China, which has yet to send an athlete to the Major Leagues.
