With two outs in the top of the ninth inning, Carlos Gonzalez slugged a three-run homer off Yimi Garcia as the Rockies stunned the Dodgers, 5-4, at Dodger Stadium on Thursday night to snap their 11-game losing streak. Garcia has allowed home runs in his last two outings.

Thursday’s game-winning homer was just Carlos Gonzalez’s third, and his first since April 25. If not for the big ninth-inning swing, after singles by Nick Hundley and Drew Stubbs, Gonzalez would be forcing himself to believe his walks in his third and fourth plate appearances were positives.
