Right-hander Ervin Santana, who is serving an 80-game suspension for the use of a performance-enhancing substance, has started throwing bullpen sessions at the Twins’ Spring Training complex in Fort Myers, Fla.

The Twins officially activated utility man Eduardo Nunez from the 15-day disabled list on Tuesday, two days after they optioned designated hitter Kennys Vargas to Triple-A Rochester.
