Bradley went deep against Toronto closer Roberto Osuna to tie the game at 4 before David Ortiz brought home the go-ahead run on a bloop single against reliever Aaron Sanchez, as the Red Sox scored five runs in the inning.

Mets plan to skip deGrom’s next turn

At various intervals throughout the Mets’ Subway Series opener against the Yankees on Friday, Jacob deGrom approached pitching coach Dan Warthen to plead his case. The Mets had just informed deGrom he will not make his next start on Tuesday as scheduled, prompting deGrom to fight a losing battle against the decision.
