Skaggs’ MRI comes back clean

The Angels received positive news on left-hander Tyler Skaggs on Wednesday, as an MRI showed no structural damage to the ligament in his left elbow. Skaggs was diagnosed with a mild flexor pronator strain and will be shut down for seven days, according to general manager Billy Eppler.

Flores to see doctor due to sore right wrist

Though Wilmer Flores’ neck has healed since his home-plate collision Saturday in Atlanta, he has not fully recovered from injuries sustained during that play. Flores said after the Mets’ 1-0 loss to the Nationals on Wednesday that he plans to visit a doctor on Thursday morning to address lingering soreness he is experiencing in his right wrist.

The club announced he has a right oblique strain, and Judge will undergo an MRI on Wednesday.
