Cards ride Holliday’s bat to top of NL Central

After five months and 136 games, the Cards will enter September positioned precisely as hoped. They are again co-leaders in the National League Central. A little less than two hours after stunning the Cubs with a come-from-behind, 9-6 win, the Cardinals moved into a tie with the Brewers, who were blown out in San Francisco. Matt Holliday homered, drove in four runs and hit the game-winner.
